|
Engine Raw Water Cooling System - Close through-hull valve, disconnect hose from valve, insert funnel into end of
hose, run engine while pouring antifreeze into funnel until discharge water
turns pink (about 2 gallons antifreeze). |
| 2. |
|
Water Heater - Turn off power to water heater. Drain contents of water heater into the bilge and leave drain valve open. Disconnect both hot and cold water hoses from water heater and connect them together with a 1/2" fitting. After water heater has drained empty, pour about 1 gallon antifreeze into bilge at the location of the water heater to displace any remaining water. |
| 3. |
|
Water Storage Tanks - Pump all water out of the fore and aft storage tanks, then fill each with
several gallons of antifreeze. Pump antifreeze from each tank separately to
ensure supply lines contain antifreeze. |
| 4. |
|
Stern Shower - Pump water through stern shower (hot and cold) until pink antifreeze is visible. |
| 5. |
|
Galley Sink - Pump water through galley sink (hot and cold) until pink antifreeze is visible. |
| 6. |
|
Head Sink - Pump water through head sink (hot and cold) until pink antifreeze is visible. |
| 7. |
|
Shower - Pump water through shower (hot and cold) until pink antifreeze is visible. |
| 8. |
|
Shower Drain - Pour about 1/2 gallon antifreeze into shower sump and pump it out. |
| 9. |
|
Ice Box Drain - Pour about 1/2 gallon antifreeze into bottom of refrigerator and pump it out
through foot pump. |
| 10. |
|
Automatic Bilge Pump - Pump water through automatic bilge pump until pink antifreeze is visible in
discharge. |
| 11. |
|
Manual Bilge Pump - Pump water through manual bilge pump until pink antifreeze is visible in
discharge. |
| 12. |
|
Head - First empty the holding tank, then pour about 1 gallon antifreeze into bowl and
pump it up into the holding tank. Close seawater intake valve, disconnect hose
at the valve and let water in hose drain into the bilge. Pour some antifreeze
into bilge at this location to displace any remaining water. |
| 13. |
|
Seacocks - If boat stays in the water, check that all seacocks are closed. |
| 14. |
|
HVAC Raw Water Circulating System - Close through-hull valve, disconnect hose from valve, insert funnel into end of
hose, run circulating pump while pouring antifreeze into funnel until discharge
water turns pink (about 1~2 gallons antifreeze). |
| 15. |
|
Speed Transducer - If boat stays in the water, remove through-hull speed transducer (paddle
wheel) and insert bung (plug). Pour some antifreeze into bilge at this location
to displace any remaining water. |
