Noted the following exception to Edson's Maintenance Guide: Per discussion with
Fred Johnson of Edson Marine, the pedestal shaft bearings cannot easily be taken
apart and greased as installed in the Catalina 350 without major surgery.
However, both fore and aft bearings are sealed stainless steel bearings that
should not require maintenance for at least 10 to 15 years. |

fabric) should be cleaned regularly and clear vinyl (Strataglass™) should be
cleaned frequently and polished every 2 to 3 months (every 4 to 6 weeks in areas

"...The entry about checking the
batteries every 50 operating hours should probably be amended to every two weeks
or every 50 operating hours, whichever comes first. Batteries that are on a
shorepower charger over a couple of weeks could easily get cooked if the
charging regulator circuit seizes into a full-charge amount (versus float)". |
