Periodic > Engine > Engine Hoses - Hose should be hard and tight; Replace if soft or spongy; Check and tighten all hose clamps; Check at 50, 100, and every 250 hours.

Periodic > Engine > PSS Shaft Seal - Inspect bellows on a regular basis (no less than at least every 6 months under most circumstances); Check for any signs of deterioration (cracks, splits, tears, brittleness, etc.); Upon any sign of deterioration the bellow must be replaced; If the boat sits idle for a long period of time (generally 3 months or more), it is necessary to move the carbon face back to allow a small amount of water to enter the boat.

Periodic > Rigging > Standing Rigging - Inspect chain plates, fastenings and bolts for leaks, replace sealant and tighten as necessary; Check turnbuckles and locking pins; Check rigging tune, rigging wire condition.

Periodic > Rigging > Running Rigging - Inspect blocks, shackles, cotter pins monthly; Masthead fittings, halyard sheaves, etc., should be inspected, cleaned and lubricated periodically.

Periodic > Rigging > Winches - Winches turn freely, lubricate as per manufacturer's recommendations.

Periodic > Rigging > Steering System - Check/oil sheave bearings monthly; Check nuts, bolts, clevis and cotter pins regularly.

Periodic > Rigging > Jib Furler - Inspect furling system regularly for deformation, wear, cracks or corrosion (see reference); Lower drum assembly must be flushed on a regular basis to prevent corrosion.

Periodic > Rigging > Deck - Clean and wax gel coat surfaces as necessary; Stainless steel fittings such as pulpits and lifeline stanchions should be cleaned and waxed periodically.

Periodic > Rigging > Sails - Check sails frequently for any signs of wear and have any tears or frayed stitches repaired immediately.

Periodic > Rigging > Canvas and Clear Vinyl - Canvas (Sunbrella® fabric) should be cleaned regularly and clear vinyl (Strataglass™) should be cleaned frequently and polished every 2 to 3 months (every 4 to 6 weeks in areas of high fallout) using products specified by manufacturer (see references).

Periodic > Electrical > Batteries - Every 50 operating hours or every 2 weeks, whichever comes first: Check electrolyte levels and make sure connections are clean and tight; Be sure tie downs are fastened securely; Check periodically for any cracks or breaks in the case or cover and any cracks in the sealing compound; Check that all battery cells keep an even fluid level and that the fluid is about 3/8" above the top of the separators; Keep battery connections clean and tight

Periodic > Electrical > GFCI Outlets - Ground Fault Interrupter Circuit should be tested regularly (by pushing the TEST/RESET buttons).

Periodic > Electrical > Shaft Zinc - Inspect shaft zinc periodically and replace as needed. Use Camp ZPC-1, ZPC-2 or ZPC-3.

Periodic > Plumbing > Bilge Pump - Periodically check manual bilge pump pick-up screen and clear of debris.

Periodic > Plumbing > Seacocks - Operate seacock valves at least once a month to keep the seals lubricated; Swab the valves with waterproof grease twice yearly.

Periodic > Plumbing > Water Heater - Check heat exchanger lines for leaks at regular intervals (from engine coolant system); A leak in the system will cause coolant loss and may damage engine; Flush tank periodically to help prevent buildup of deposits.

Periodic > HVAC > Condensate Drain - Check condensate drain for obstruction.

Periodic > HVAC > Electrical Connections - Ensure proper tightening of all electrical connections and hose clamps.

Periodic > Propane > Check for Leaks - Test system for leakage at least twice a month and after any emergency in accordance with the following procedure (see reference).

Periodic > Safety > PFD's - Perform leak test on inflatable PFDs at least every 2 months.
|
Periodic > Safety > Fire Extinguishers - At least once a month, check that the extinguisher is charged, the lock pin is firmly in place, and there is no corrosion or mechanical damage.
