Daily > Engine > Fuel Supply - Check fuel supply (try to keep tank full to minimize condensation). Use diesel No. 2 rating of 45 cetane or higher.

Daily > Engine > Fuel/Water Separator - Check for water and dirt in fuel (drain/replace filter if necessary). Use Racor W2010TMOR (Blue 10 micron filter).

Daily > Engine > Engine Oil Level - Oil level should indicate between MAX and LOW on dipstick; The low oil pressure warning light will illuminate if pressure falls below 7 psi (If this happens, stop the engine immediately and check the cause of the oil pressure drop). Use 4 quarts API Spec CF or CG-4, SAE 30, 15W-40, 10W-30 or 5W-40.

Daily > Engine > Coolant Level - Check level at recovery tank; if empty, check at manifold; Add coolant if needed. Use 50/50 solution. 6 quarts capacity.

Daily > Engine > Drive Belt - Inspect for proper tension (3/8" to 1/2" depression) and adjust if needed; Check belt edges for wear. Use Universal Belt #30475.

Daily > Engine > Visual Inspection of Engine - Check for fuel, oil and water leaks; Inspect wiring and electrical connections; Keep bolts and nuts tight; Keep engine surface clean.

Daily > Engine > Adjust Engine Idle Speed - Adjust to 750-1200 rpm.

Daily > Rigging > Deck - Deck hardware should be hosed down with fresh water after each sail in salt water.

Daily > Electrical > Batteries - Check that batteries are charged or charging properly.

Daily > Safety > PFD's - Check before each outing that the required number and type of PFDs are onboard and in good condition; Check the status of the CO2 cylinder and inflator mechanism on inflatable PFDs.
